Library Hours
7:45 – 8:00 Open
3:25 – 3:45 Open
Library Rules
1. Use the library to read, work, and learn
2. Be respectful of others and of library materials
3. Follow the Clendenin Library Check-out Policy
Exemplary adherence to rules will earn students praise, stickers, and/or special prize while lack of adherence to rules may cause loss of library privileges.
Responsibility
Every patron is responsible for the items they check out. Please assist your child with finding a safe place to store their library books at home.
Fines
There is no charge for overdue materials although, students may not check out new books until they return all overdue materials. We understand accidents do happen...however, students must pay for all lost or damaged books checked out in their names in order to check-out new books and also to avoid loss of any library privileges especially toward end of year (book replacements are NOT accepted). *A school-issued receipt must be presented for full refund of payment for any lost book(s) that are later found.
Class Visits
Each class visits the library on a 2-week rotation for a library lesson and book check out. Students may also visit the library without their class with a pass from their teacher as well as before or after school.
Clendenin Checkout Policy:
Kinder and First Grade may check out 1 book that remains in class
Second Grade - may check-out 2 books
Grades 3-5 may check-out up to 3 books
*Parents of PreK and Kindergarten students are always invited to checkout additional books for their children, either before or after school.
Books and other resources are checked-out for a 2 week period. While there is no charge for overdue materials, fines for damaged or lost materials are charged to all patrons (BOOK REPLACEMENTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED). All overdue/lost materials must be returned/paid before new materials may be checked-out. *A school issued receipt must be presented for full refund of any lost book(s) that are later found.
